In the heart of New York City at 3 Times Square, AFD completed a remarkable project for Rémy Cointreau, a leader in the luxury spirits industry. Spanning roughly 30,000 square feet, this project showcases not just aesthetic appeal but also a meticulous approach to functionality and budget management, which is crucial in any workspace design.

Our Directive: On Time + On Budget

AFD was entrusted by TPG Architecture with the responsibility of furnishing various key areas within the new headquarters, including reception areas, lounges, cafes, conference and meeting rooms, and even an outdoor terrace. Our commitment was clear: to ensure that all furniture arrived on time and under budget. This involved a collaborative effort where we worked directly with the design team to find suitable alternatives for any furniture that had lead times that did not align with the project schedule.

Coordinating with over 40 manufacturers, our team meticulously tracked orders to ensure accuracy and timeliness, which is essential for the smooth execution of such a large-scale project.

A Showstopper: The West Elm Belle Lounge

One of the standout features of the newly designed headquarters is the West Elm Belle Lounge located in the bar area. This space has been crafted to be both on-brand and inviting, providing a perfect backdrop for team members and guests to relax, converse, and collaborate. The Belle Lounge, featured in their brand’s logo color, not only adds a touch of elegance but also embodies the spirit of community that Rémy Cointreau aims to foster within its workforce.

Navigating Unique Challenges

Working on this project came with its unique set of challenges. One specific requirement involved calculating the weights of the terrace furniture to ensure compliance with weight limits. This level of attention to detail is crucial, especially when dealing with outdoor spaces that can be subject to various environmental factors. Moreover, AFD provided tethering resources to prevent any potential wind damage or loss of furniture, ensuring that the outdoor terrace remains a safe and enjoyable space for everyone.

In conclusion, AFD’s partnership with TPG Architecture and Rémy Cointreau at 3 Times Square not only highlights our dedication to delivering high-quality designs but also underscores our ability to navigate complex logistical challenges. We are proud to have played a role in creating a vibrant and functional workspace that aligns with Rémy Cointreau’s vision and values. As we continue to take on exciting projects, we look forward to transforming more spaces into havens of creativity and collaboration.
