The Company Angel’s Envy Distillery, founded in 2010 and located in Louisville, Kentucky, is the culmination of the life’s work of Master Distiller Lincoln Henderson, one of the most respected people in the distilling industry. Lincoln passed away in 2013 at the age of 75 and his legacy of innovation and craftsmanship is being carried on by Lincoln’s son, Wes Henderson, and his grandsons, Kyle and Andrew Henderson. Angel’s Envy is a lot of things. It’s a whiskey of incomparable smoothness. It takes into account over 200 years of bourbon heritage and mingles it with over 400 years of port wine heritage.” The name is derived from the term “angel’s share”- the portion of whiskey that evaporates as it ages in wooden barrels. The Challenge The Angel’s Envy complex sits directly in the heart of downtown Louisville. It is a historical building that dates back to the early 1900s and has sat abandoned for almost 30 years before the company purchased it. Angel’s Envy was tasked with transforming the complex from a decaying, graffiti filled space and restoring it to its original beauty. Beautiful arched windows, exposed brick and a newly-constructed wood beam ceiling welcome visitors as they walk into the distillation room. Prior to deciding the right product to utilize for their space, the team from Angel’s Envy, visited the Kimball Office showroom in Jasper, Indiana to review different product solutions and determine what products would work best from a functionality and design standpoint. Equally impressive and just as important as the product portfolio they reviewed was the quality and craftsmanship of the Kimball Office product. They liked that they could get such high quality product while easily staying within their budget. To top it off, they were extremely pleased to learn that the product is manufactured in their “backyard” in Jasper and Salem, Indiana. It was important to them to support the local economy.

This combination of products provided a modern aesthetic, yet an extremely functional work area. Dock and Bingo paired together nicely for the café area at Angel’s Envy. This combination offered a versatile grouping that was functional and adaptable to the specific area.
